Hassell & Hughes Lumber
A true local success story, Hassell and Hughes Lumber started in 1929 and produces hardwood flooring, manufactured hardwood lumber, wood pellets and other wood products. It is the largest locally owned and operated industry in Wayne County. The company, a NOFMA certified mill, maintains an inventory of over five million board feet of hardwood, has a dry kiln capacity of one million board feet and a pre-dryer capacity of 1.3 million board feet.
